Oh yeah, every time there's a bloody occasion, my mum invites her friends over for a party. There are reasons why adult parties stink like hell.
Firstly, they're very loud. Sometimes it's like 12am and the guests are laughing like "BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Do my neighbors NOT complain about this? Secondly, it's R21. But not for my sister and me of course. It's for people who I WANT TO INVITE. Like this stupid Christmas party where I wanted to invite Bev but noooo it's an adult party. I'm going to be hella pissed if there's going to be children there because that is just BIASED. Thirdly, I absolutely hate it when my mother forces me to play with kids at the age of, what, freakin' 3? I'm 12 and I want to do my stuff! Like my mum said, "They are my friends not yours so you have no right to invite other people." Since they're HER friends, she should entertain them NOT me. Of course, I don't mind some of her friends' kids. But I like them because our age difference is not so big so it's very easy to get along with them. Toddlers? Yeah, I try to talk to them but they just give me a straight face and play with their parents' iPhone. Fine, the kid doesn't wanna play with me. In the end, I get scolded for not entertaining them.
I remembered on my 12th birthday, I was watching TV. My mum came home and screamed at me for not studying. I was like, "It's my birthday, gimme some space here!" Then she started scolding me and hitting me with a feather duster. It wasn't really because I was watching TV. It more because on our recent holiday in Vunh Tau, I didn't play with my mum's cousin's daughter so she got mad at me for that. That girl is 3 and REALLY annoying. Annoying as in an attention grabber. So I don't like her. Because I got whipped to the core because of her, I don't like her even more. -_- Does my mum think doing that will make me LIKE her? Also, just because her dad is older than my mum, doesn't mean I have to call her 'Chi'. That's 'older sister' in Vietnamese. The last time I saw her was when she was whining over the fact that my sister was using 'her' iPad 2.
Now, back to Christmas party. Tomorrow I'm not washing a single dish or cleaning a single spot. I don't like cleaning up the mess of people who are 'not my friends'. I'm not a bloody maid or waitress goddammit! If my parents buy the condo opposite ours which is for sale, my sister and I can get some peace and quiet there during stupid parties. We can even hold our own which will be way cooler and way quieter. I will also not invite people are, according to my mum, NOT MY FRIENDS.
Oh and to my mum's guests, don't. ask. me. how. old. I. am. I'm not telling you because I don't wish to be acquainted with you. Simple as that.
